Software Company Headquarters, San Mateo, CA, USA
Guidewire develops some of the worlds most advanced software solutions for the insurance industry. With visitors from around the world to their California offices, Guidewire wanted to replace the old-fashioned paper binder with a more modern device that would protect their visitor information from public view. Also, each visitor is asked to review a Visitor Agreement prior to entering. They chose “Sign In”. It has been ideal for their needs according to David Levigner, Director of Information Technology, “You’ve already made a good app great [with release 1.1], it’s gotten a ton of buzz here with people signing in and we tell them all that we use your app.”
Chemical Plant, Hertfordshire, UK
The H.R. director for a chemical plant wanted to replace their “rather ugly book system” used for employees to sign in. Employee attendance is time stamped upon arrival and exit. In addition, due to chemical industry health and safety regulations, a system of evacuation lists is very important. Sign In constantly keeps a running total of all employees on-premises, and produces an instant report with one tap-of-the-screen.

Clinic or Medical Office
A student Athletic injury clinic uses Sign in to log in all visitors. Clinicians then review each visitor’s sign in record before calling the patient. They find it helps speed up the process, and that they have a total visitor count to match against their billing – making sure no one is omitted.
Since field labels are customize-able each field you need answered by your visitor can be exactly what you want. For example here is what the athletic injury clinic asked each visitor. They also made general notes for each visitor.

Motion Picture Studio, Hollywood, CA, USA
Part of the requirements for studios to earn their MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) accreditation is for all visitors to be registered and clearly identified with a badge while on-site. In order to meet this requirement, studios can use “Sign In”. A personalized and dated badge is instantly printed for each studio visitor.
Trade Show Lead Collection
Marketing at trade shows can be a significant investment. Often collecting data on visitor’s to your booth is done with scanning a badge or less formally—asking for a business card. Now use the sleek and elegant iPad’s “Sign In” app to gather all the information you need, including pictures, so you can remember the visitor more easily. After the trade show, use the export function to export the visitor data as a .CSV file into your favourite sales tracking software. Feed your entire sales cycle with the leads gathered by “Sign In” at your next Trade Show.
